Nauvoo, IL (RH) -- We had an interesting experience last week as we were involved in the reinactment of the exodus from Nauvoo on Feb.4, 1856, when the saints were driven out of here by the mobs.

We didn't have a mob, but we all walked down to the rivers edge and had a short program and a flag raising ceremony. It was a very sobering experience to consider the plight of those people leaving at that time of year.

We had six teams and wagons and a lot of people rode down Parley street in them. It was a beautiful clear day, with the river frozen over and the sun shining.
